Cut in Councillor Numbers Confirmed
The number of County Councillors (end therefore electoral divisions, or wards) in Northamptonshire will be reduced from 73 to 57 following an announcement by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE). What happens next is for the council to gerrymander decide the new boundaries for the 57 electoral divisions, and put it out to consultation. Council Leader, Conservative Jim ‘Hacker’ Harker said: “While the review hasn’t been instigated for cost-savings purposes, it nevertheless provides a potential saving of up to £350k over the next four years, subject to an allowances review, an important consideration in these financially-challenging times.” Translated from council gobbledegook into English, that means there will be no savings once the Councillors allowances have increased to take into account the increase in their division size. The idea is that each county councillor represents approximately the same number of people, as far as possible, and “the interests and identities of communities across the county”. Make sure you have your say, the commission is now asking local people for their input into the review of the electoral arrangements for Northamptonshire County Council. Bad news today for the Indian owned Corby steel works with 110 people – or 15% of its workforce, set to be laid off.

Linking to Paul Crofts blog is not something I would normally do, but to save me half inching his research, he has posted some interesting information about the New Chief Executive of Wellingborough Council, John Campbell. Interesting times may lay ahead!

I cannot sign off this blog without mentioning an e-mail that has been sent out by the Brent Group. As you may be aware, the Brent Group have been frustrated by Andrew Brons’ reluctance to break away from the BNP and form a new party. After a month or so of deliberating what they have decided to recommend to their members is that they join the only Nationalist Party whose leader has no baggage, the British Freedom Party.

I shall not repeat the full e-mail here but if anyone would like to see it to apply for the discounted membership, I shall forward it to them. The main thrust of the e-mail sent out by Roger Bennet is as follows:

As you are aware, over the last two years the British Nationalist cause has gone into serious decline.

As we are well aware of the cause of this decline, I will not dwell on the past two years, but only the immediate past months.

After the BNP leadership election many of us wanted and prepared for a new party to be formed by Andrew Brons MEP. At that time there were many nationalists not supporting the old party who were looking to join a new political party. Unfortunately, a new party did not emerge and many past supporters have drifted away. 200 members attended the meeting of the 22nd. October 2011, in the belief that a new party was then to be formed, myself included.

The majority of Brent Group members see no value in further delay and  inform me they want positive action now.

The time has gone for a new party to have any chance of success. Too much time has been lost, many potential members no longer there.

I formed the Brent Group, well before the 22nd. October, in the South West, purely to keep our ex South Somerset BNP officers together.  Since that time the Group has expanded beyond expectation with members joining from most parts of the UK, including members who have formed groups and are looking for an organisation to be part of and work for.  Looking for mutual support and an efficient organisation.

The choice is not wide.

I will not denigrate the efforts of others as we are all nationalists doing the best that we can. However, our cause has fragmented into too many small parties. Most of whom if any, will not have the success we all desire. We need a party that is a party of the 21st, century and not rooted in the early 20th century as is the BNP, and most of the other parties.

How do we define success ?

Success is winning votes, winning seats and controlling councils, eventually to win seats in National government. If we cannot achieve this, we are achieving nothing, gaining nothing.

By being overtly nationalist and racist in policies will not win seats in councils, will not gain control of councils. We must raise our game, become more subtle, more professional in our approach. We must have policies on all aspects of life in the UK. Immigration most certainly, which only we will deal with efficiently, but in addition, a wide range of policies and  a party run in a democratic and open manner. No officers appointed, only elected. With party accounts open, on demand, to all members. A party where every member is equal and valued.

After closely examining all the present parties I have come to the conclusion, with others, that the only party that is truly growing, and fits the standards we require, is the British Freedom Party. I have special knowledge of British Freedom as I was a founder member, along with several ex SW BNP officers.

The present Chairman, recently elected, is Paul Weston. Mr Weston has never been a member of the BNP and has no past history of extremism. In other words there is no dirt the media can dish on Paul Weston.

We have suffered terminally in the past by representatives of our parties having past histories easily exposed and held to ridicule by, not just our political enemies, but by the media in general.

The Brent Group, now a sizable organisation, has a great deal of talent within its ranks. Not only past officers of experience but young members who have never been members of the BNP asking me what positive action they can take to advance the cause and the principles in which we believe.

By the members of the Brent Group joining with British Freedom Party we will create a powerful force that many nationalists have been waiting for, combining  experience with enthusiasm and manpower. That is also lady power of course as we have some of the most dedicated and hard working members in our ladies section.

Other Freedom parties in Europe are pleased to link with the British Freedom Party but will not associate with the BNP or similar groups in the UK.

The Freedom Parties in Europe have achieved great success, far more success than did the BNP at its highest point. These are parties with members of parliament, who have gained control of councils and are increasing their membership. We must aim at achieving this level of success in order to take our country back.

I sincerely believe this is the only way forward, in fact, the only real game in town.

I would ask you to support this proposal.

I am sure the BFP have the right intentions, my only doubt is with the links this party is said to have with the English Defence League. If these links are true, any trouble associated with the EDL, whether they are blameless or not, will be used to hit the fledgling BFP with. Personally, I will continue to reserve judgement on joining, but will continue to work with any party furthering the cause of both English and British Nationalism.

Philip Hollobone has in the past week also criticised the proposal for the retail development at the Skew Bridge site near Rushden, even though it is outside of his constituency. I wish the MP for the area, Peter Bone would do the same, while the development may create employment in an area people will need to drive to, jobs will be lost in several town centres around the area as a result. With this and the major development at Stanton Cross, Wellingborough and other development proposals the towns of Wellingborough, Rushden, Higham Ferrers and Irthlingborough will begin to lose their individual identities as they merge into one another to become an amalgamated major conurbation

By-election Round up
Reports from Towcester are that the Lib Dems are throwing a lot of resource into the two by-elections in the town. With no Labour candidate to vote for, the Lib Dems probably see themselves as the alternative vote for the left as they are up against three parties of the right. The local issues for the District council election will concern the development of Towcester town centre and the expansion proposed to the south of the town…and the relocation of the council offices, while the County Council election issues will focus on the departure of the previous incumbent, Rosemary Bromwich and street lighting. As with all local elections, National issues will also come into play.

For the Towcester Brook by-election for South Northamptonshire District Council it is a three way fight between the Conservatives, Lib Dems and UKIP. In the Towcester Division for the County Council seat it is a four way battle between the above three and the British National Party. I can hear you all cry, WHAT!, no Labour? Well, they did enter nomination paperwork for both seats, but their nominations were refused as they did not supply the electoral numbers of nominees. Good to see the Labour Party in such disarray they cannot even find a competent person to fill in electoral paperwork correctly?

Council Budget Consultation
Northamptonshire County Council are holding a budget consultation at the Council chamber, County Hall, on Tuesday, January 24th from 7:00 to 9:00pm. If you wish to ask some probing questions such as ‘Why has it been proposed that the budget for asylum seeking be increased by £6m for the next financial year when cuts are being made elsewhere?’ The council must be expecting a large turnout as they are asking people to register their place.

Wind Power – Councillor Quits Tories Over Wind Farm
Tony Scott, who represents villages including Badby, Catesby, Hellidon, Newnham and Staverton on Daventry District Council (DDC) has quit the Conservatives and will now sit as an independent councillor. The Daventry Express reports Cllr Scott as saying: “I have been a DDC Conservative councillor for the ward of Badby for the last 12 years. While I continue to support the current administration I want it to be known that I do not support a number of central Government policies. Following the recent undemocratic decision of the planning inspector to overturn the council planning committee’s resolution and approve the application to build two wind farms at Watford and Kelmarsh, in line with Government policy, was a step too far. As a result I have resigned from the Conservative party and will continue to represent my constituents as an independent councillor. To show the Government our complete disdain at its blind determination to blight our countryside with expensive and useless machines I would urge my colleagues to do the same.” Well said that man, if only the Tory Party MP’s with the same feelings had the balls to do the same!

Other Developments
While we’re on the subject of Daventry District Council, the Planning committee has refused proposals for 150 new homes on a greenfield site in Brixworth. No doubt the planners will go to appeal. See the local Brixworth Residents Against New Estates website.

Meanwhile on the other side of the county, East Northamptonshire District Council have given the go ahead for 125 houses on the old Hospital at Wymington Road, Rushden. The move has angered many locals as the local green will also be developed too.

Development, or lack of development, on Brownfield sites is also an issue in Northampton according to the Chronicle and Echo. There are several former school sites sitting empty, yet planners are being given approval for green field sites. This situation is absolutely ludicrous. Some good news for the North of the county, the North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit has revised their figures for new houses needed by 2024 from 56,000, down to 28,000. Bearing in mind that many of these have already been, or in the process of being built, it is a little bit of respite for our former green and pleasant land.

Who Will Pop Up In Towcester?
With the deadline for nominations at 12 noon today for Towcester Brook by-election for South Northamptonshire District Council and the Towcester Division by-election for the County Council, there is no official notification of runners and riders on either the South Northants or County Council websites as I type. If they appear I will add an update to this post.

The Radicalism and The New Media group (the RNM Group) is based at the University of Northampton, and was established in 2009.¹ The declared aim of the RNM group is to: “bring together experts in Law, History, Media and Psychology from across the University, to work with organisations including the Police, Local Authorities and the Home Office”” – with the RNM Group reporting that: “Projects already underway  include collaboration with regional Police authorities to look at public safety and radicalisation. The [RNM] Group is also in direct contact with SO15 [The Counter Terrorism Specialist Operations branch within London's Metropolitan Police Service] …” ²

The Counter Terrorism Command (the CTC, also designated as SO15) is based within the Metropolitan Police Service in London. The duties of the CTC, through its National Co-ordinator Domestic Extremism section (NCDE)³, include intelligence gathering and the policing of public protest.⁴ The CTC works closely with both the UK Security Service (MI5) and the Secret Intelligent Service (MI6) – as well as with the law enforcement and intelligence agencies of other countries.

On the 25th November 2011 the Metropolitan Police Service was asked: “whether or not the Home Office approved the working contacts between the Metropolitan Police Service (the MPS) and the Radicalism and New Media Research Group (the RNM Group)? Who approved and authorised that particular collaborative effort?”⁵ A response was received from a representative of the Specialist Operations (SO15) branch of The Metropolitan Police, on the 5th January 2012, saying: “I can confirm that Assistant Chief Constable Setchell, who was the head of the National Public Order Intelligence Unit, commissioned RNMG to undertake academic research relating to public protest.”⁶

The University of Northampton’s RNM Group claims to be concerned with ‘radicalism’. However it is considered most extraordinary that the RNM Group shows no interest in the problems of Islamist radicalism and terrorism – especially so, given that independent research shows that: “ … Since then [the1990s], British universities have consistently acted as breeding grounds for extremism, with British university graduates joining jihadist movements in Iraq, Kashmir, Israel and elsewhere⁷

Other research has shown that: “More than 30% of individuals involved in Islamist terrorism in the UK were educated to degree level or higher. Of these, 19 individuals studied at a UK university; 16 were graduates; three were postgraduate students and one had achieved a postgraduate qualification. At least four individuals involved in acts of terrorism in the UK were senior members of their university ISOC [Islamic Society] and a further six were studying at a UK university at the time of arrest.” Interviews, concluded as part of that research, have also revealed: “students who are active in their university Islamic society were twice as likely as non-members to hold extreme views, including that killing in the name of religion was justified … Three fifths of active ISOC members said killing in the name of religion can be justified” ⁸

The attitude of the RNM Group appears to be very clear – that those within the UK who are driven to anger by Islamist extremism and terrorism, and who express that anger through protest, should be subject to ridicule, vilification and “curtailment”.⁹ What, therefore, should we conclude?

However it is of crucial importance to distinguish between the teachers of hate – and the vulnerable (and often very impressionable) students who are subjected to such odious forms of political control.

From the material published by the RNM Group, it seems very clear that the Group believes it’s work to be more than just an investigation of public protest, but has clear political purpose – and that that purpose is given State endorsement through the involvement of the Metropolitan Police Service. In the space of just two years the RNM Group has established close working links with senior UK police officers, including representatives for the National Coordinator Domestic Extremism (NCDE) within the CTC¹⁰ – as well as with extremist political groups including the US-based Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the USbased Political Research Associates (PRA), and the UK-based Searchlight organization. ^11,12,13

It is the activities of the SPLC, the PRA and Searchlight that provides the clearest insights into the intended political nature of the academia/police (Northampton-RNM/SO15) collaboration. It is drawn from a ‘progressive’ ideology that concocts political justification for: anti-native hatemongering;^14,15 mass immigration;^{16, 17} abortion as “reproductive justice”;^{18, 19} the injection of hate narrative into the Criminal Justice System; ²⁰ the use of ‘false flag’ deceptions and violence;^{21, 22} the undermining and destruction of Christian heritage;^{23, 24, 25} and the psycho-sociological abuse of children and infants.²⁶

There is a refusal by the ‘progressives’ to engage in debate, with vigorous attempts to suppress counterarguments through the use of personal attacks, smears, innuendo, misrepresentation, and abusive comment.²⁷ In particular, and in the context of this report, there appears to be an attempt to stifle legitimate concerns regarding the presence of University-based Islamist extremism.²⁸

A posture of craven appeasement to the aggressive demands of both political ‘progressivism’ and Islamist extremism has been adopted by the offices of Government and State – and most especially so, within the Home Office, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This has been fully exposed in a detailed investigation, based on leaked HO and FCO documents, by The Policy Exchange in 2006.²⁹

Such research strongly indicates that the main aim of the State has been, through appeasement, to prevent political or revolutionary Islamists becoming violent Islamists or Salafi-jihadists. However the recommendations from such research is that that approach is wrong, and that all Islamist (political) ideology should be directly challenged – with appropriate ‘ways and means’ being incorporated into an updated version of the Government’s CONTEST/PREVENT strategy.³⁰ However it is very disturbing to see that there are still calls for the State to appease political Islamists and jihadists.³¹

In regard to concerns raised in this report, the conclusions of a study into Islamist extremism by the Quilliam Foundation are especially relevant. The researchers recommended that: “Assessment and inspection regimens need to be improved to ensure that lecturers and teachers who subscribe to an extreme ideology are not using their academic positions to spread their ideology to students, as is currently the case in several university campuses.”³² Yes, quite so. A copy of this report is being sent to the Special Operations branch of The Metropolitan Police Service, at New Scotland Yard, with a strong recommendation that the MPS sever all links with the Northampton University RNM Group.

Such vigilance will reduce the amount of havoc such groups [as the F4J] can inflict on women, children and the culture as a whole.” This is therefore an attempt by political extremists to introduce crude political ‘hate narrative’ into judicial proceedings. It is totally contrary to the principles of Common Law. Getting back to the story, the Northamptonshire Somali Development Foundation (NSDF) which has been based at the Rainbow Centre, in Sheep Street, Northampton for four years are protesting against a two-week eviction notice. The foundation has 4,000 active members. Secretary Cabdik Cabdi said: “We’re not just dealing with an individual, it’s a whole community. Everyone I’ve spoken to is saying they don’t know where to go and that breaks my heart as a leader. This is the only centre we’ve got between the 8,000 Somalis living in Northampton.” Us Brits keep being told how good it is to integrate with ethnic minorities, yet it appears these minorities want to be on their own…in very large numbers. The group received the eviction notice last month from Northampton’s Afro Caribbean Elders Society (ACES), which occupies the ground floor of the centre and subcontracts the space to NSDF. The letter informed the group it would be evicted on January 6, despite the contract running until September this year. Is this the Afro Caribbean community being racist… or is it Ethnic Cleansing?  Mr Cabdi felt the foundation, which he said had helped to reduce town centre crime, had been singled out, as the Northampton Retail Crime Initiative, which also uses the centre, had not been asked to leave. Will this raise tensions between the Somali and Afro Caribbean communities in Northampton? We’ll have to wait and see.

Official…Immigrants Take UK Jobs!
The government’s official advisers on migration say there is a link between immigration from outside the European Union and job losses among UK workers, according to a report on the BBC website…well, no shit Sherlock. The Migration Advisory Committee said there were 23 fewer UK jobs for every 100 migrants from outside the EU. The Migration Advisory Committee (Mac) estimates 160,000 British-born workers’ jobs have been “displaced” following non-EU immigration between 1995 and 2010.

The Joys of Multiculturalism
Another story that appeared in the Chronicle & Echo in December revealed that how Police in Northampton are increasingly targeting cases of honour-based violence, race hate crimes and female genital mutilation, as more immigrants settle in the town. More and more police time is being taken up dealing with hate crimes, liaising with diverse ethnic groups and cracking down on honour-based violence. The two constable interviewed said that it was hard to put a figure on how big the county’s ethnic communities were now. However, alongside long-standing immigrant groups they now deal with more people from places such as Somalia, Poland and Afghanistan settling here. May I hasten to add that all those claiming asylum here from Somalia or Afghanistan are technically illegal immigrants as they would have passed through numerous safe countries to arrive in the UK. The two constables said each group brought with it individual challenges to policing. Immigrants from Somalia arrive in the UK from a country with little or no law and order, while Eastern Europeans could often have a low opinion of authorities. They have also helped women who have been affected by female genital mutilation, or female circumcision, which is practised in parts of Africa and Asia. Some Polish drivers in the county created problems on the roads through lack of legal knowledge.

There Goes Another Farm
The Daventry Express reveals that building on a new 1,000 home green field Daventry estate will be under way within a year after a deal was struck from housebuilders Crest Nicholson. The 120-acre Monskmoor Farm site on the edge of the town lies to the east of Welton Lane, across from Lang Farm, and stretches from the Country Park roundabout to the Grand Union Canal. It was given outline planning permission in March 2010. Monksmoor Farm was one of the three big urban extension plans – along with Danetre Village and Churchfields – proposed for the town. After a lengthy inquiry only Monksmoor was given permission with the planning inspector saying the existing roads and other infrastructure could ‘just about’ sustain the extra 1,000 homes. The 10-year development programme will create mainly low density family housing with Crest Nicholson planning for the first people to move in during summer 2013.

Diane Abbott
The authorities  need to show consistency between Emma West and Diane Abbott. If one is to be charged with racism, so must the other. A hate Crime is committed when one or a group of people, perceive someone to have said something that racially offends them, and Diane Abbot has certainly offended a lot of people.

We the people are signing the petition asking the authorities to show consistency and either treat Emma West the same as Diane Abbott and drop all charges if she makes a public apology or treat Diane Abbott the same as Emma West and arrest Diane Abbott for committing a “racially aggravated hate speech”.

This exciting new festival is a multi-cultural family friendly event for the whole community, celebrating our diversity challenging discrimination and bringing the whole community closer together.

It is supported by The Umbrella Fair but remains an independent event. The theme is one of reconciliation, of St George and the Dragon making peace and living in harmony

The event which was held last year, will be held again this year on the Racecourse, Northampton on the 28th April. Seeing as this event is all about celebrating diversity, challenging discrimination, reconciliation, St George, making peace and living in harmony, I wonder if they would allow a stall from a group promoting local history, culture and Englishness in general?

While we’re on the subject of your council tax being wasted, the amount spent by the council on looking after asylum seeking children in care in the county shows no sign of abating with the figures for September and October being £250,112.49p and £235,120.85p respectively. The council have proposed an increase in the amount budgeted for asylum seeing children in the next year from £500,000 to over £6m to account for the reduction in Government subsidy for their inability to control the nations borders.
